TUCSON, Ariz. – Moises Gabriel Castillo, Jr., 40, of Weatherford, Texas, was sentenced last week by United States District Judge Rosemary Márquez to 57 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Castillo previously pleaded guilty to Transportation of Illegal Aliens for Profit Placing in Jeopardy the Life of Any Person, Causing Serious Bodily Injury and Resulting in Death.

BOSTON – A Chinese national residing in Andover, Mass. was arrested today for submitting a fraudulent voter registration and ballot in the 2024 presidential election in the name of another Chinese national. The defendant also allegedly submitted two fraudulent immigration forms on behalf of the victim, a Chinese national, and his wife, resulting in the confiscation of their Green Cards and causing them to enter into removal proceedings.
Baltimore, Maryland – A Baltimore man received a federal-prison sentence, today, for drug-trafficking and firearm crimes, stemming from a local drug-trafficking investigation. U.S. District Judge Stephanie A. Gallagher sentenced Dwone Bryant, 29, to five years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances.

PHOENIX, Ariz. – A Phoenix man who received over $1 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans by submitting fraudulent applications was sentenced yesterday by United States District Judge Sharad H. Desai to 15 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Jamar Johnson, 54, previously pleaded guilty to Wire Fraud.
Two individuals from Galesburg, Illinois, Jordan Eskridge, 31, and Breana Crider, 28, were sentenced on August 12, 2026, for conspiring to traffic in and trafficking in methamphetamine and marijuana, and Eskridge was also sentenced for possessing a firearm as a felon.

Earlier today, in federal court in Brooklyn, Marcus Pittman, also known as “Nacho” and “Cheese,” was sentenced by United States District Judge Kiyo A. Matsumoto to 27 years in prison for causing death through use of a firearm, in connection with his participation in an armed robbery and kidnapping of two marijuana dealers in Queens, New York, during which Marcus Pittman murdered one of the dealers. Marcus Pittman pleaded guilty to the charge in December 2025.

RAYMOND NEUBERGER, 42, of Easton, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Omar A. Williams in Hartford to 39 months of imprisonment and three years of supervised release for threatening Fairfield Police officers. Judge Williams also ordered Neuberger to pay a $15,000 fine.
