WASHINGTON – Langston Wedge, 20, of Upper Marlboro, MD, was sentenced today in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia, for charges related to a shooting at the Power Nightclub in Northeast that injured five people, announced U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro. Wedge pleaded guilty, on April 6, 2026, to two counts of aggravated assault while armed and one count of possession of a firearm during a crime of violence, in the D.C. Superior Court. On October 1, 2026, Judge Errol Arthur sentenced Wedge to 10 years in prison to be followed by five years of supervised release. The Court denied without prejudice the defense request for a sentence under the Youth Rehabilitation Act.

According to the government’s evidence, in the early morning of November 2, 2025, Wedge, who was with a group of friends, got into fight with others outside the Power Nightclub at 2335 Bladensburg Road Northeast. Power Nightclub was hosting a Halloween-themed costume event. The event was crowded and some celebrants spilled out into a line on the sidewalk in front of the club. At 1:47 a.m., Wedge started shooting wildly toward the crowd, and panicked attendees scattered and ran for cover. During the shooting, five people and a vehicle were struck with bullets. One victim was shot in the leg. A second victim was shot through the back and the upper arm and continues to experience pain and discomfort from his injury. Two victims were each shot through the thigh. And one victim was shot through the right side of his chest and lost an enormous amount of blood, spending three days in ICU with a punctured lung. Prince George’s County Police arrested Wedge on November 17, 2025. At the time of arrest, the defendant was in possession of a Glock 26 .9mm handgun with a magazine capable of holding 30 rounds of ammunition. Ballistics evidence showed that this was the firearm used to shoot the five victims at the nightclub, two weeks earlier.
