GREAT FALLS – A Babb man who sexually abused a child admitted to the charge Monday, Acting U.S. Attorney Mark Steger Smith said.
Bradley Dale Evans, 49, pleaded guilty to one count of abusive sexual contact. Evans faces up to life in prison, a $250,000 fine, up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment. Chief U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris presided and will determine a sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors. Sentencing was set for Jan. 14, 2027. Evans remained in custody pending further proceedings.
The government alleged in court documents that between January 2020 and June 2024 Evans sexually abused a child under the age of 12 in a home near Babb. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kelsey Hendricks is prosecuting the case. The FBI conducted the investigation.
