Behind a cold front, Canadian high pressure will bring cooler and drier weather to the region through Tuesday. While the high gradually weakens and moves off to the south, expect dry and seasonable conditions to finish out the work week.

As Canadian high pressure builds over the region, near to below freezing overnight lows are expected on Mon/Tue nights. This is especially the case over the Alleghenies, possibly extending eastward to the Shenandoah Valley.

HONOLULU – United States Attorney Ken Sorenson announced that Vaughn Ludwig, 50, of Kailua, Hawaii, was sentenced yesterday in federal court by United States Chief District Judge Derrick K. Watson to 70 months in prison followed by 4 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl.

U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced today that a federal jury has convicted Akram Marseet, 42, a native of Libya living in Golden, Colorodo, with threatening to murder two Rochester Federal judges while they were engaged in the performance of their official duties. The conviction carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
